WHAT IS GENRE?

      WHAT IS GENRE?

Genre is used to categorize products. For example, films are categorized into genres such as comedy, horror, adventure, action, sci-fi etc. Each film i a certain genre shares similar characteristics. For example, the majority of sci-fi films are flooded with heavy bass sounds that massacre the ear drums of the audience.

*cough* *cough* Interstellar *cough* *cough*

Genres make it easier fir the audience ti decide what film they want to watch and also make it much easier for the audience to access the films they want to watch.
                                          SOME EXAMPLES OF GENRE

Thriller
 NOT THAT THRILLER.....
THE FACT THESE FILMS ARE IN GENRES MAKES IT EASIER TO FIND THESE. ALSO, THE FILMS ARE QUITE SIMILAR IN THE WAY THE STORY MAPS OUT  AND IN THE WAY THEY'RE FILMED

 THESE THRILLERS

COMEDY

THE SAME GOES FOR THESE FILMS. THEY CONTAIN SIMILAR ELEMENTS. FOR EXAMPLE, AN UNDERDOG BECOMES A HERO AND IS VERY CLUMSY ALONG THE WAY

MY FAVOURITE GENRES

1) Comedy

I love comedy films. Who doesn't. You get such a wide range of films in the comedy genre. Dark Comedy, Surreal Comedy, Satirical Comedy etc. Its fantastic. Yes there are some terrible comedy films (All the Adam Sandler films....) But there are many great comedies like Anchorman, Ace Ventura Pet Detrective, 21 Jump Street and many, many, more

2) Sci-fi

Sci-fi films are fantastic, they open our minds to new scientific concepts, have amazing special effects and brilliant sound tracks. They are exciting, breathtaking and at times, extremely emotional

3) Psychological Thrillers

BWAAAAAH

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAH

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Who doesn't love the deafening sounds of "Inception"?

Psychological Thriller are my favourite types of films as they make you think and shock you at the last minute. They leave the audience perplexed and intrigued at what the story means and if the ending is really as it appears. Psychological Thrillers are my favourite films because they have no definite meaning and make the film something to talk about.
