The title sequence is the presentation of the programme or film name and basic credits. Additionally, a title sequence can also include the production company, cast members, the distribution companies and various other members of the crew, i.e. costume designers and/or the director. It tends to use visuals, such as animations & sound (sound effects or soundtrack that establish the tone & genre of the film or television programme). Furthermore, a sequence would work as a form of promotion to actors/directors etc, their identity integrated into the title sequence through different medias, i.e. over animations, moving images, coloured backgrounds or plain. As an example, we notice the series of given names in the early stages of films and television programmes to signify the value of the role of actor and to express their importance through name advertisement at such an early stage.
In the scenario of a film introduction, it would be beneficial to establish institutions for the elements that supported production, finance and distribution of the product. Title sequences specialise in the effective advertisement of names, brands, companies etc. One example could describe how indents are shown before the narrative or even the film itself begins, it can contrast the film entirely on occasion.
The audience can appreciate the the title sequence to share the information of the film or programme before it has begun, i.e. certain production companies, meaning the audience can establish an idea of what the budget could be, dependant on the creators. The more popular the company, the more views it could get, ultimately.
