A summary of my findings of the genre conventions in film openings from my chosen genre

Conventions of thriller:

•  Dim lighting
• Soundtrack has to build tension
• Different shot and angles used such as a low angle to make the audience feel like they are not powerful, the use of high angle can be used to make the audience feel like they're superior
• Protagonists always have to be a brave male figure and antagonist always has to be an evils character that seeks for revenge, a damsel in distress can be used too
